ANS is a platform for Social Service Agencies (SSAs) serving the autism community in Singapore and other stakeholders to create public awareness and mobilise support for the autism cause. It was formed in April 2015.

The founding organisations are: Autism Association (Singapore) (AA(S)), Autism Resource Centre (Singapore) (ARC), Rainbow Centre Singapore (RC) and St. Andrew’s Autism Centre (SAAC). AWWA joined as a partner in 2016.

ANS seeks to be more effective in addressing the needs of more than 50,000 persons on the autism spectrum in Singapore. Participation in ANS is open to other SSAs, government and related stakeholders.

World Autism Awareness (Singapore), or WAA(S) for short, is one of the main activities of ANS. To celebrate World Autism Awareness Day on 2 April, as designated by the United Nations, WAA(S) hopes to increase acceptance, raise the understanding, and celebrate the strengths of persons on the spectrum living with autism. It is typically a month-long community engagement advocacy campaign.

We welcome friends, partners and supporters of the autism cause to come alongside us and join in our advocacy through annual WAA(S) community engagements.

Please feel free to access information on autism from Autism Resource Centre (Singapore), one of our ANS partner sites.
